Kim Fordham-Lien - Inducted 2019



Kim Fordham-Lien was a 1986 Aberdeen Central and 1990 South Dakota State University graduate.

Fordham-Lien won NCAA Division II indoor national track titles in the 800-meter run in 1988 and 1989. In all, she was a seven-time All-American in the 800 meters. Fordham-Lien, also a championship horse rider, won 11 individual indoor and outdoor North Central Conference titles from 1987-91, seven in the 800 meters and four in the 1,500 meters. The SDSU hall of famer added a pair of 1,600-meter relay titles to her list of accomplishments and was named the Most Valuable Performer at the NCC indoor meet in 1988 and the outdoor meet in 1990.

After nearly 30 years, her 800-meter run outdoor time of 2:06.24 remains a school record. Her indoor 800-meter run school record was broken in 2017.
