Ralph Ginn




Born July 23, 1907, in Lenox, Iowa. 1925 Lenox H.S. grad. 1931 Tarkio (Mo.) College grad. Was South Dakota State football coach from 1947-68, compiling a 113-89-9 record. In his 22 years at SDSU, his teams won nine conference titles, including back-to-back-to-back titles twice (1953-55 and 1961-63). He coached Brookings High School from 1944-47, going 20-4-2. He also coached Brookings' boys basketball team to the 1946 state Class A title. He was 66-25-8 from 1931-41 at Tarkio High School and 6-7-2 in 1941-42 at Tarkio College. Coached at Wayne (Neb.) State from 1942-44, coaching two years of basketball and one year of track.
